HomeWaste Processing EquipmentAir Density Separator
Advanced separation technology utilizing precisely controlled air flow to efficiently separate materials based on density differences, ideal for sorting light versus heavy materials, plastic recovery, paper separation, and RDF production.
Overview
Controlled Air Flow System
Uses precisely controlled air streams to separate materials based on density and weight differences, efficiently dividing light materials from heavier fractions without mechanical contact.
Multi-Fraction Separation
Capable of separating materials into multiple fractions simultaneously, including light plastics, paper, heavy plastics, and dense materials like metals and glass.
Adjustable Performance
Variable air flow speed and trajectory controls allow fine-tuning of separation performance to accommodate different material characteristics and processing requirements.
Key Benefits
High Purity Output
Achieves excellent separation purity by exploiting density differences between materials.
Non-Contact Separation
Gentle air-based separation preserves material quality and reduces contamination.
Increased Recovery
Improves recovery rates of valuable materials from mixed waste streams.
Versatile Processing
Handles various material types from MSW to commercial and industrial waste.
Energy Efficient
Optimized air flow design minimizes energy consumption while maximizing performance.
Low Wear
Minimal moving parts and no mechanical contact reduce maintenance needs.
How Air Separation Works
• Light Fraction: Low-density materials like film plastic, paper, and foam are carried upward by the air stream to the light fraction outlet
• Medium Fraction: Materials of intermediate density follow a middle trajectory to a separate collection point
• Heavy Fraction: Dense materials like metals, glass, and rigid plastics fall through the air stream to the heavy fraction outlet
